Attendance at Farm Journal Media’s Top Producer Conference grew 10% over 2006 numbers. The annual gathering of the top producing farmers in the nation was held in January in downtown Chicago. The event has become the must-attend of the year. Repeat attendance was at an all-time high with additional attendees drawn in to the gathering to be part of the discussion of the most pertinent issues facing these top producing farms. Issues such as drought management, the impact of ethanol, legal and financial scenarios and a demonstration after hours at the Chicago Board of Trade were highlights of the conference.
